Imprint Break

Imprint Break is the final stage of an unstable imprint. Where drift alters the body, break unravels the mind.

Early symptoms include irritability, mood swings, and loss of impulse control. As the condition worsens, individuals may display aggression, animalistic behaviour, and fragmented speech. In advanced stages, they lose their identity entirely, consumed by instinct and impulse.

Rocovery is extremely difficult. Even a skilled Attuner may fail to bring someone back once they reach full break.

Commonly referred to as "Feral Break", "Psychological Break", or "Break" in civilian records.

Many citizens have been lost due to unchecked Imprint Drift, leading to a break.

Every year in Itum, citizens mourn the loss of their loved ones and keep their memories alive by participating in the Broken Memorial.
